We support pre‑school children in Worcestershire with additional needs through home‑based play assessment and intervention. We help children who may have difficulties with movement, communication, play, and learning.
We are part of the Children's Community Occupational Therapy team and work closely with parents, carers, and other services to support each child’s development.
Our service is child and family focused and works collaboratively with parents/carers and other services involved with the child to identify and prioritise current concerns and goals and to coordinate how to support in the most effective way.
We work with children and their parents at home, using play and fun activities in a familiar environment. We use play, toys, and everyday activities to understand a child’s needs and to show parents and carers practical ways to support their development. This includes support for children who may have delays in movement, communication, play, or learning, where specialist input is needed.
We do not accept referrals directly from patients or their families. Children can be referred by members of the Child Development Team including health visitors, paediatricians and therapists.
