Challenges eating, drinking and swallowing (Dysphagia)

What is Dysphagia? 

Children can have difficulties with eating, drinking and swallowing for a range of different reasons. The medical term for swallowing difficulties is dysphagia.

Treatments for Dysphagia

Your child may be referred to a Speech and Language therapist if they have problems with eating, drinking or swallowing. A Speech and Language Therapist may give you advice about types and textures of food.
